The Digital Agricultural Ecosystem has been built on the Innovate Framework. This Data Services Framework has been successfully used in several sectors, including Logistics, Transportation, and Healthcare. The Framework uses core digital technologies, including the Cloud, the Internet of Things, Blockchain, and Big Data. All these technologies are coordinated and orchestrated using a workflow engine. This workflow engine allows new, transformative business models to be created, analysing and optimising processes.
When we define an Ecosystem, we promote the Principles which underpin the Ecosystem, and we define the Focal Points, which are the grouping of services or functionality that Members will use when interacting with the Ecosystem.
The Ecosystem supports Data Driven Agriculture and significantly optimise agricultural services.
When we approach the construction of our Digital Agricultural Ecosystem we consider the principles behind the Ecosystem. What are we trying to achieve? which stakeholders will use what service, and how will they interact with each other.
The Digital Agricultural Ecosystem is organised into Smart Communities, allowing us to onboard all the stakeholders and define how they interact, which brings organisation and structure to the Communities and Ecosystem.
Once the organisation has been onboarded, the relationships with other Members and business interactions can be optimised.
Yield is monitored as a function of the Crop Models, helping us to predict yield across parts or whole communities and coordinate logistical support for harvesting.
Aggregators, both local and International, can also monitor crop development, and Farmers can interact with the Aggregators directly, helping them to streamline the business and enabling Data Driven Agriculture.
A key objective of the Ecosystem is to produce more agricultural yield through the adoption of crop models and technology, in a sustainable way.
Crop models will help us monitor development and highlight potential risks. The crop models will be implemented in the Exemplar farms to demonstrate in local conditions how Farmers can benefit from them.
The Innovate Smart Agriculture Ecosystem is a comprehensive digital platform designed to optimize agricultural value chains through advanced technology and data-driven insights.
